hot pads

 finished hot pads with embroidery
 back of hot pads after a little quilting
 I turned it inside out, then sewed around the edge and center
 added cotton batting in the middle
 added a vintage sheet scrap
I started by tea dyeing some muslin.

 my daughter wanted a Harry Potter birthday party this year. So we spent the past month creating all of the fun things Harry Potter has to offer! Super fun!

surprise from liz

a little package arrived in idaho during our stay... from our florida family. Liz saw this sweet quilt while cleaning out her aunt's house and knew I would love it. and oh how I love it!!!
I'm thinking of turning it into a summer quilt for the girls room.
