LAMQG solids challenge
The LAMQG solids challenge was to create a quilt using the Robert Kaufman kona dusty charm pack given to us added only one solid. The binding had to be solid as well but the back could be whatever we wanted. So after days of contemplating I decided to go with an applique design. So I hand cut about 55 different butterfly shapes and appliqued them on. I used "flesh" kona solid for the background. I'm in love with this quilt. I was a little nervous because this was my first time machine quilting. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
quilt size: 60x60 batting: bamboo, cotton blend
